About Sherman Ross
- How long have you lived in Rockmart? My wife, Debbie and I have lived in Rockmart since 1995.
- How long have you been on the council? Prior to my election as Mayor last fall, I
served as a Councilman representing Ward 4 for 6 1/2 years.
- What are your goals as councilmen/woman? My vision and passion for our City is to see
revitalization of our older neighborhoods, enhancing beautification around the
City, in our parks, and the Silver Comet Trail, as well as, promoting our
Historic Downtown and focusing on economic development.
- What is your favorite thing about Rockmart? I love the people of Rockmart and their
friendliness and I enjoy the scenic beauty of our City.
- Your promise to the community is…? My promise to the Citizens of Rockmart, is to
always make the best decisions for the greater good of our City and Citizens,
based on the best available information and to be open and honest.
