Rockmart Community Chorus

Rockmart Community Chorus performs several times during the year. Members are volunteers from within the community. This group has been a solid part of RCAC for 25 years.

The group originally formed to participate in Georgia's celebration of the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympic Games awarded to Atlanta. Rockmart Community Chorus performed during the City of Rockmart's ceremonies surrounding the 1996 Olympic Torch Run that come through Rockmart. It was an exciting time for our little town.

Rockmart Community Chorus

After the 1996 Olympic Torch Run, the singers decided to continue to meet and perform, which they did over the years at the local churches.

When the current Rockmart Cultural Arts Center building was added to the City of Rockmart Government Complex, the Mayor and Council had the Rockmart Community Chorus in mind. The City of Rockmart built a room specifically for their group. The formation of RCC was part of the foundation of our current RCAC programming.

The Rockmart Community Chorus meets every Tuesday at 7pm in the Chorus room in the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center building. They put on a Spring and Christmas Concert and also sing when we have the lighting of the Christmas tree after the parade each year. We also plan to sing at Rockmart's 150th Celebration on August 20th.

To join, contact Director Debbie Miller at 404-219-9572.

We start rehearsing again on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 7pm at the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center.
Our next Community Chorus Concert will be on December 10 and 11, 2022.
